Time for Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire Facelift to make a move!After seeing the market Sales, no doubt in saying that Suzuki Swift is the bestselling hatchback in Indian market with the same generation been going on since 2011, the compact sedan sibling (thanks to demand) hit the market early 2012.  As both of these cars were up to get a facelift. Both of these went through cosmetically changes in Europe and Japan. Making its way up to in India, the Indian consumer also demanding a facelift for Dzire after the Hatchback was completed.

According to the Suzuki`s success formula of continuity, the facelift is not offering a redesign but some minor updates. Unfortunately, what we found add for the facelift is, this nothing more than the mere addition of chrome.

Why a facelift?

Not everyone thinks Facelift worthy their time and money. Instead they believe its complete waste of Company`s time and talent. However, as the compact sedan competition getting heated up on daily basis, the grip of Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire was getting loose. Therefore, in order to maintain their position, Suzuki needed some Swift actions! With short time and budget, only a facelift appeared to be the answer. But, Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire Facelift is nothing more than cosmetic upgrades. Yes what we have here is a mildly updated looks of same Dzire we have been driving for years.

What the Spy Shots were telling us?

What were we expecting from the third generation Swift, a facelift for the Diwali Season launch? Well it might not sound much exciting but when going into details. It will sure interest you! Practicing the trend of smashing chrome out in front along with smoked headlamps. The new aspects added into long running swift are up to Swift`s Standard. It is widely believed that the Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire is merely a publicity stunt to promote the upcoming Ciaz.

But we can`t take it from granted, Ciaz on behalf on its own specs have created much fuss. Reports are even confirming it will be launched in China under name of Suzuki Alivio. This car will be featuring best in class interior and comfort. It is all set to compete with Honda City, Hyundai Verna and even the new Ford Fiesta.

After the facelift, there are few notable addition to be mentioned.  The Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire interior now have cruise control. Other additions are Faux Leather seats and new music system which has Bluetooth and Aux port along with iPod Compatibility.  Apart from that, the facelift has also introduced the AC vents in rear section. Next thing we are hoping for here is electric seat adjustment but to be honest. This is the feature we will have to wait for. However, with addition of electric seats, Dzire would only make its competition a bit easier.

Other features added includes key-less entry with push button start. Important to mention here, this feature is also added in Suzuki Swift.  As the ongoing models are made with Automatic Climate control and integrated audio. It was high time for Maruti to equip their best sellers which features to be found in Honda Amaze and Hyundai Xcent. As far as we are acquainted, there are rare chances that we will see electric chairs.

Other Notable Changes

The newer versions are expected to feature anall-black interior with Zxi Trim along with better storage cabin aesthetic.

As for features, Push button ignition is confirmed in all swift models

Following Futuristic lining concept, the exterior will be featuring Chrome slants on both front and rear. In addition there will be Smoked headlamps and LED Ring lights around the Fog lights

Accessory package will include GPS Navigation, Parking sensors and brand new seat covers.

The main attention here! Due to the fuss created for its facelift. People were wandering around the test mules to have some leaks. The funny part is they did succeeded but not much. I meant to say test mules did gave us a taste of what the new Swift will look but not much too actually write about it. Well after its officially shown and the specs been leaked. It’s time we get to work. Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire now offers the same external design as previous versions did, but there are a few modifications we do like to talk about.

The silver detailing on lower part of front bumper are appraisable.  However, these linings are mainly offered in high end variants. In addition of the front bumper, these detailing have also been added in the grill and bumper. The interesting part is, Suzuki is now offering a LED Stoplight. But as we are in Indian market, this can only be expected in some higher end models.

Getting the L Shaped headlamps just like Swift hatchback with some chrome linings on back bumper. Apart from the designing, the boost blue metallic is finally introduced. Steering wheel is said to get now covers along with completely redesigned alloy rims.

Engine

Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire Engine as expected is continuing with the same 1.2 L petrol and 1.3 L diesel. Having the same powerhouse, this car is expected to generate 85 BHP power and 114 Nm torque. In addition of the engine, the Transmission will also remained unchanged. This means we will still have the 4 speed AT just like current models. However, there were some previous reports that the car will continue to run with 5 speed manual transmission.

Price Tag

To be honest, we were expecting some minor reports but soon we realized the truth. Therefore we have to say, don`t expect some major add ups in price.  But as there are not any notable mentions.Just like the main design, you should expect some major changes in the price. However, just like the design, price tag will almost remain unchanged. While saying that, the Price-tag will be between 4-7 Lac. The confirmed release date for all facelift models is confirmed as late 2014. So hold your horse’s people!
